FAQ

Homiy is Switzerland's first platform where real estate is sold digitally and transparently via auctions. Buyers and sellers benefit from a fast, modern and fair process.
Sellers list their property through our team. Buyers register, upload their documents and can participate in digital auctions. The award goes to the highest bid; the purchase contract is then signed at the notary.
To keep our auctions safe and fair, we must ensure that only real people who have been checked for financing can participate.
To participate in an auction, the following documents are mandatory: - ID / passport / foreigner ID card - Financing confirmation from your bank
Usually a few hours, at most 24 hours.
After successful verification, you can bid live directly in the auction view. All bids are visible to everyone.
No. Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn. A withdrawal after the award results in a contractual penalty of CHF 10,000 excl. VAT (for buyer or seller).
The auction starts with a starting price, often CHF 1. Bids are visible live. The award goes to the highest bid when the auction ends.
The system determines the valid bid based on the server timestamp. The first bid received counts.
No, a viewing is not mandatory. However, we strongly recommend using one of the official viewing appointments.
Each property has 2–3 fixed viewing dates that are displayed directly in the listing view. Private individual viewings are not possible.
So that all interested parties have the same conditions and the process remains efficient.
The award means you placed the highest bid and are entitled to complete the purchase at the notary.
The purchase is only valid once the notarised purchase contract has been signed by both parties. However, a withdrawal after the award results in a contractual penalty of CHF 10,000 excl. VAT.
You receive a confirmation, the relevant documents, and all information about the notary appointment.
